Rusk County Get in Touch

Rusk County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, verify a release, post bond, release anyone, or pull an official booking record. Please contact the responsible agency directly for those actions.

Official Rusk County Contacts

For a county jail question, begin with the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office or jail. For a booking record or photo, use the sheriff’s published records-request form and describe the name, date, agency, and record sought as precisely as possible. No separate public-records telephone line or records-office hours were located in the county sources, so do not assume that a jail line is a records desk.

Sheriff and Jail

Rusk County Sheriff’s Office
210 West Charlevoix Street
Henderson, TX 75652
Sheriff: 903-657-3581
Jail: 903-655-3000
Emergency: 911

The county links its Sheriff’s records-request form from the official sheriff page. The Rusk County Public Information Act guide describes Chapter 552 requests, estimates, inspection, copies, and the need to identify records with enough detail. It does not publish a fixed sheriff booking-photo fee, so ask for the current estimate before charges are incurred.

Court and Prosecution Offices

Rusk County District Clerk
115 N. Main Street, Suite 301
Henderson, TX 75652
903-657-0353 · twillard@ruskcountytx.gov

The District Clerk is the county’s listed route for district and county-level criminal files and publishes a $5 name-search fee plus copy charges. A booking description is not a disposition, and a justice or municipal case may belong with the proper lower court instead. The Rusk County District Attorney is at 115 N. Main Street, Suite 302, Henderson, TX 75652, 903-657-2265, for prosecution and discovery-related office information.

Where to Look First

  • Use the county-linked Rusk County inmate portal for current custody, the last 24 hours, or an arrest-date range. The home page explains the differing windows and record-request route.
  • Use the Most Wanted page for the appropriate warrant-verification route. Rusk County had no located public sheriff warrant portal, and only the issuing authority can confirm an active warrant.
  • Use the TDCJ Inmate Search for state custody after a transfer or sentence. It is not a county booking roster.
  • Use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for sentenced federal custody, or the ICE Online Detainee Locator for current ICE custody. Those services answer different custody questions.
  • For news reporting or an unofficial listing, start with the official source first. The Crime News & Mugshots page explains why editorial and third-party coverage can be incomplete or stale.
